ballots delayed
Fayette County absentee
ballots, along with many across the state, have been delayed. Although
all other statewide election votes will be cast using the new electronic
voting units, absentee ballots will be paper as in the past. Per the
Secretary of State Press Office representative, Cara Hodgson, redistricting,
the pushed-back election dates and two legislative recounts have resulted
in the delays. Georgia Election Code states that absentee ballots must
be available 45 days prior to the election. Counties should have had
the completed ballots on September 21st to be in compliance. However,
many, like Fayette County, did not receive ballot proofs until this
week. Once received the County has 24-hours to review and send to the
printer if correct.

Religion
Spiritual
maturity is key to religious differences
By JOHN HATCHER
Religion Columnist
In
years past, it was a rather common practice to find one spouse worshipping
Sunday morning at the Baptist church while the other spouse was found
at the Methodist church. Usually, however, they attended the same restaurant
afterwards. No one thought it heresy and apparently marriages did not
seem to suffer the worse because of attending different watering holes
though the water ran more freely at the Baptist church.

At a recent [Fayetteville]

study had been conducted for the South Side Master Plan. The answer
was no.
LOST
scam targets our next-door neighbor Martians?
Some scams are very
good, and others are simply terrific. As few of us have ever gone to

what makes a scam terrific, instead of just good. And here's the answer.

Principal
shortsighted in banning carts at McIntosh
McIntosh High School
principal Greg Stillions does the entire Peachtree City community a
disservice with his narrow-minded and shortsighted approach to high
school students and golf carts.
Sewer

Mr. Mayor and council

Demos
rewrite election law to try to retain Senate power
It was such a thrilling

Dr.
Moffett strikes again
I'm sorry, but I
just can't help myself. Dr. Moffatt's smug assertions about the nature
of the human person are just too much to take.
Trey
Hoffman strikes again
After 20 years of
working with children whose parents have burned, scalded, cut, threatened,
beat, raped, molested and killed them, it is exceedingly evident that
there are parents who are unfit. Anyone who suggests otherwise is ignoring
the legal determination of fitness as is routinely determined by the
courts in custody hearings, not to mention the obvious.
Scared
by Democrats? Look at real-life solution
As we near the November
elections, the lying socialist Democrats reach a new low with the ad
showing President Bush pushing a wheelchair-seated elderly lady down
a set of stairs. Their usual tactic is to terrorize the elderly and
the uninformed into voting for a Democrat. The Republicans are too stupid
to counter the LSD lies with facts about partial privatization of Social
Security.

Needed:
Kirkley Rd. red light
I am writing this
letter to you about how I think we should consider putting a stop light
on Ga. Highway 74 near the entrance to Kirkley Road. There are so many
cars that fly through that area in the morning and it is almost impossible
to get across there. I believe that with your help we can solve that
problem very easily and help a lot more students to get to school on
time every morning.
