Bullard Expands With New Office in Barnesville

Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty, already the largest Coldwell Banker franchise in Georgia, now has an eighth location with the opening of an office in Barnesville.

This new office, at 133 Forsyth St. in Barnesville, will be known as the company's Barnesville/Lamar County office and will serve Lamar and Upson counties and surrounding areas. The telephone number for the new office is 770-358-9688.

"We're excited to be bringing Coldwell Banker services to the homebuyers and homesellers in this area," said Jenifer L. Strauss, who will be the manager for the new office. "We're going to open with four agents, and our goal is to recruit from this area and to grow to 10 agents by a year from now."

Strauss, a Spalding County resident for nearly 12 years, began working with the with a Griffin real estate company five and one-half years ago and has been in real estate for the past four and one-half years. When the Griffin company merged into Coldwell Banker Bullard in fall of 2001, she remained with the merged operation and was the office top producer for the past year. She became manager of Bullard's Griffin/Spalding County office early this year, and she will continue to head up the daily operations in Griffin, as well as managing the new Barnesville location.

The initial sales associates in the Barnesville/Lamar County office are Anna Arnold, Rosemarie L. Hardeman, Judy Truitt Keadle and Sherri Watts, all of whom are residents of Upson County.

Arnold, who received her training through Coldwell Banker Fast Start, has been in real estate for four years. Married to Hays Arnold, she has four children, Karen Lisicia, Kristi Morris and Hays Arnold III, and Jennifer Coker; and five grandchildren, Lizzie, Sam, Ben, Camp, Cannon, and Cole. She is a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Thomaston.

Hardeman, who has been in real estate for four years, has been married 36 years to Mike Hardeman. Their son Todd, 34, and his wife Amber has twin daughters, Julianne and Maribeth, 2 years old. Son Toby, 32, and his wife Mandy have one daughter, Morgan, 22 months old. Their third son, Tad, is 25 years old. Mrs. Hardeman is currently center director at the Upson Counseling Center in Thomaston and is involved with several school and community projects.

Keadle, who has been in real estate for 10 years, is a graduate of Coldwell Banker Fast Start and trained in real estate at Macon College. She earned the Coldwell Banker International Diamond Society designation for her production in 2001. Her family includes sons Truitt and Steven; daughters-in-law Amy and Mindy; and grandchildren Joshua, 12, Nicole, 9, and Taylor, 6. A member of First Baptist Church of Thomaston and the Rotary Club of Thomaston, she has served as a director of Flint River Technical College and a trustee of Flint River College Foundation for 10 years.

Watts, who has worked in real estate for six years, received her real estate training through Gordon College and the Georgia Institute of Real Estate, as well as 21 Plus Training. In 2000, she earned membership in the Medallion Club for $2.7 million in residential sales and listings sold. Married to Reid Watts, she has one son, Matt Watts, 18.

Steve Bullard, owner and president of Coldwell Banker Bullard, is the broker for the Barnesville/Lamar County office.
