Sewer authority overbilling customers for summer usage

Mr. Mayor and council members, I believe that the [Water and] Sewer Authority is gouging the residents of Peachtree City.

In the summer months when necessary watering of grass, shrubs, and trees takes much more water usage than early spring, late fall, and winter months, that water is obviously going into the ground and not the sewers. Yet we are being billed as if all of that water is going into the sewer. This is not fair to the residents of Peachtree City.

In every other community in which I have lived, the sewage rate was based on the average of the six or seven months when most of the water was used within the home. This should be the case here also.

Because of the way we are billed we are, in fact, paying for a service not rendered.

This is an issue which should be addressed by you all and I (and I am sure all Peachtree City citizens) would appreciate it if you would.

John White
