Is there anything like a news story about a suffering child that makes you just want to turn off the television or flip as fast as you can to the next page in the newspaper?

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Rower warns PTC: Keep Jesus prayer out

Subject: Meeting prayer.

How can F'ville even consider annexing without traffic study?

At a recent [Fayetteville] Planning and Zoning meeting, someone asked council members if a traffic study had been conducted for the South Side Master Plan. The answer was no.

LOST scam targets our next-door neighbor Martians?

Some scams are very good, and others are simply terrific. As few of us have ever gone to crime school, in either a prison or a police academy, we may wonder what makes a scam terrific, instead of just good. And here's the answer.

Slow down and leave one of state's best sheriffs alone

This letter is in response to the one written the other day by Larry Robinson. Do you really expect anyone to abolish our sheriff's office, which is said to be one of the best in the state, because you got pulled over by a deputy?

Herewith, 20 rules for newcomers to PTC

To the newcomers to Peachtree City: Welcome! Here are 20 rules to live by that are sure to make your residency here much more enjoyable.

What's happening to PTC?

What's going on here?

Principal shortsighted in banning carts at McIntosh

McIntosh High School principal Greg Stillions does the entire Peachtree City community a disservice with his narrow-minded and shortsighted approach to high school students and golf carts.

Sewer authority overbilling customers for summer usage

Mr. Mayor and council members, I believe that the [Water and] Sewer Authority is gouging the residents of Peachtree City.

Demos rewrite election law to try to retain Senate power

It was such a thrilling spectacle watching New Jersey's Democrat Senator Bob Torricelli withdraw from his upcoming election against Republican newcomer, Doug Forrester.

Dr. Moffett strikes again

I'm sorry, but I just can't help myself. Dr. Moffatt's smug assertions about the nature of the human person are just too much to take.

Trey Hoffman strikes again

After 20 years of working with children whose parents have burned, scalded, cut, threatened, beat, raped, molested and killed them, it is exceedingly evident that there are parents who are unfit. Anyone who suggests otherwise is ignoring the legal determination of fitness as is routinely determined by the courts in custody hearings, not to mention the obvious.

Scared by Democrats? Look at real-life solution

As we near the November elections, the lying socialist Democrats reach a new low with the ad showing President Bush pushing a wheelchair-seated elderly lady down a set of stairs. Their usual tactic is to terrorize the elderly and the uninformed into voting for a Democrat. The Republicans are too stupid to counter the LSD lies with facts about partial privatization of Social Security.

Think about your kid readers

I have been in the Fayette Citizen many times, since I do a lot of plays. I would like to tell you some of my concerns and interests about the Fayette Citizen.

Kids need basketball courts

I think we should have more basketball courts that are open to the public.

Why must we pay to recycle?

I am concerned with the fact that people that live here must pay to recycle.

Needed: Kirkley Rd. red light

I am writing this letter to you about how I think we should consider putting a stop light on Ga. Highway 74 near the entrance to Kirkley Road. There are so many cars that fly through that area in the morning and it is almost impossible to get across there. I believe that with your help we can solve that problem very easily and help a lot more students to get to school on time every morning.
