Wednesday, October 9, 2002 Sales strong in Summerlake Sales have been strong in the two neighborhoods comprising The Knight Group's Summerlake community in Henry County. The community is located off Hwy. 155, which is about two miles from Exit 216 of Interstate 75. The model homes for the two neighborhoods are just off Walker Road, which runs off Hwy. 155. The original neighborhood, known as Summerlake, has homes with prices from the $140,000s to $270,000. The first phase has nearly sold out, while Phase 2 has just gotten underway. The Knight Group is offering 26 different plans in this neighborhood, including ranch, two-story and split foyer designs. In the second neighborhood, known as Morningside at Summerlake, the current price range is from $121,900 to $150,000. The 16 plans available in this area include ranch, two-story and split foyer designs. Fifteen homes in Morningside have already been sold or are under contract. The swim and tennis community has a 40-acre lake with a fishing dock, and a second swimming pool is planned for the future. it has county water and sewer service, underground utilities, sidewalks and streetlights. Summerlake is in the district served by Hampton Elementary School, Luella Middle School and Henry County High School and is in the area expected to be served by the new Luella High School.
