Bethany UMC plans Missions Fair Oct. 12

Bethany United Methodist Church in north Fayette County will have a Missions Fair Saturday, Oct. 12, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. The fair will feature gifts and handcrafted items made by skilled artisans in 30 Third World countries.

Among the items for sale will be musical instruments, pottery, jewelry, baskets, toys, creches and hand loomed textiles.

"For 55 years, Ten Thousand Villages, the sponsoring organization, has been working with talented artisans around the world, providing them vital, fair income for their beautiful handcrafted items," a spokesperson said. "Your purchases will help others feed, clothe and educate themselves and their families."

Other activities will include, food, fun and hayrides for the children.

Bethany is at 607 Rivers Rd., between Ga. Hwys. 74 and 92, north of Fayetteville and south of Fairburn. For more information, call the church, 770-964-6992 or 770-964-6999.
