Scholarship recipient

Fayette Countian Russel Troesken, who was nominated by the Home Builders Association of Midwest Georgia, is the recipient of a Lewis Cenker Scholarship for the third consecutive year. Troesken, a 2000 graduate of Starr's Mill High School, is a junior at Southern Polytechnic State University and has worked during summers with Bob Adams Homes, a Fayette County-based builder. He is the son of Thomas Troesken, a builder member of the Home Builders Association of Midwest Georgia. The Lewis Cenker Scholarship, a statewide program of the Home Builders Association of Georgia (HBAG), is named for Lewis Cenker, a Georgian who served as president of the National Home Builders Association. The Cenker awards go only to students who are going into the building industry. The Midwest Georgia association serves builders in Fayette, Coweta, Spalding, Meriwether and Heard counties.
