I've said it before, sometimes I have to work and I miss things. What will be done with the old Mowell's house now? I had truly hoped it would not be demolished as it is a part of history. What are the plans for it now?

I really like the intentional mis-spelling of “Butt” Hunter (left hand typing a right hand letter). I am neither a fan nor opponent of Mutt and actually I am a left handed relative of the man he defeated for commission. I actually remember that man’s father being a commissioner. That’s how far I go back. So I can tell you ONE thing, when Mutt became commissioner he saw that East Coweta was provided services. I saw things taken care of that I didn’t even know needed done.

So I see that many of you are not happy with what law enforcement has been up to in the county. I also see that you come on here and vent your frustrations and bash us.

The AJC raised some questions in the Aug. 31 article “Slowdown in Fayette a metro area exception.” The report failed to really dig in the right places and the piece had conflicting data: however, some interesting comments were made.

I wish the people who responded would but that effort in helping us get little league at Duncan Park in the City of Fairburn. We have asked whites to join us but they prefer to take there kids to Tyrone, PTC and Douglasville.

1. The city's engineering studies show that two "access points" are needed and we will only have one thanks to the CSX parking lot.

We need to let the Mayor and Council Members hear from us regarding the absurd number of additional townhomes that Wieland wants to build in the West Village. It would seem that there a plenty there now.

In light of all the proposals on the table just over the line with Coweta, and in light of NO access being accounted for on the Coweta side of the property. I'm very much against going forward with the TDK Road Extension. The question is, is it too late to stop it? IF not, what can we do to stop it?

Everyone in the county should read the story on the SAT scores of the schools here and the posts that follow. When the school can't even measure up to the embarrassingly low, sub-standard state of Georgia average it's time to take action.

As a staff member of TheCitizen Online, I can tell you with authority that we would love to see our community salute the huge majority of people and events here that are excellent.

I used to post here pretty often then i got disgusted and quit, because it seems like everytime I read blogs now they are about law enforcement officers.I just read the article about the ladies dog that got shot although its a bad situation and i would be upset if someone shot my dog but guess what the cops do not come to my house to serve warrants either, now i never have personally served a warrant but I can only imagine what one might expect as he walks around the corner of the house I guess if the person they were looking for would have been charging the officer with a gun it would have been ok to shoot(no to many liberals in Fayette County now).

Shame on you Citizen Newspaper! If you had done your research you would have found out that Fayette County Sheriff's do not carry pepper spray.

Well, the developers and their puppet Harold Logsdon have pulled a fast one on the populace. They're getting their massive minimal-zoning maximal-density development and their is little we can do about it.

While I know that we must all stay up-to-date, and aware of the happenings in our city, county, country world; I am sooooo weary of bad and sad news. I do understand the necessity of knowing what is going on but durn!

Boy oh boy is Mike Hofrichter a whopping hyoocrite. He and his developer friends trash Steve Brown in every public forum imaginable over TDK and then he changes his mind on building the road without even the slightest hint of an apology to Brown.

I work on Huddleston in PTC. It just sounded like a 747 just tried to land at Falcon Field. Anybody have any info??

An East Point restaurant owner was robbed at gunpoint last night as she entered her home in Fayetteville. Three young black males, at least 2 of them with handguns, stole her purse and keys as she returned home from work around midnight. No one was injured, and despite police being on the scene within 5 minutes of the incident, the suspects got away.

Everybody just needs to shut up about the extra-large developments that are in the works. Who cares what Steve Brown thought about TDK? Steve Brown slowed residential growth down considerably and the voters said that wasn’t the way they wanted to go. That was good for our community. We need wide open markets. A lot of builders had to go outside of Fayette County to find work. If it hadn't been for Fayetteville and Tyrone, there wouldn't had been any housing built in Fayette County to speak of.

The info that I have received from friends of the family is that this little girl has been bullied by several students at FIS since the middle of last year and it seems that they have been placed in the same class this year and have picked up where they left off.

If no one was buying drugs in Fayette County - drug dealers would not come here. The writer who wisely acknowledged that our students/adults are buying drugs is 'right on'.

Get ready for the future.

If you had bothered to read the article or watched the news the law enforcement officials did not choose to shoot it out in Publix. The drug guys agreed to sell dope there and when they were about to be arrested the drug dealer decided to drive a truck over the deputies. I guess they could have held their fire and let the truck hit them. They could have followed them down the road then. I just wonder how far the average cop can go after having F150 or a Chevy 1500 parked on them.

Law enforcement personnel are fortunate in that their profession is one a very select few confers an automatic degree of respect by the general public. I can’t think of any other professions that generate this automatic level of respect besides perhaps firefighters and doctors.

I certainly enjoy the anonymity that this blog affords & the discussion that may follow. However, I think with the freedom it is unfortunate that any accusation, assumption or supposition can and will be made about anyone and posted as fact.

Blogger Logsdon Report nailed Mayor Harold Logsdon in another web of falsehood.

Logsdon Report has a recent quote (AJC, 8/17/06) with Logsdon saying, "Property owners are initiating the annexation bids, not the city."
