To Fayette Snob - RE: FIS Student

The info that I have received from friends of the family is that this little girl has been bullied by several students at FIS since the middle of last year and it seems that they have been placed in the same class this year and have picked up where they left off. I believe that these children call the little girl nasty names and have made her really uncomfortable at school. This has been brought to the teachers attention w/no sort of consequences for their actions. Anyway what caused all the rucus was when one of the kids said that he was going to kill the little girl (she told the teacher) and still NOTHING was done by the teacher or the school. The girl had to sit at the same table w/ him everyday. The main problem with this is not really the incident as much as it is the schools negligance. The parents stated that with nothing being done to prevent the bullying of their child they can not send her into an environment where she will continue to be harrassed and come home crying and upset daily. That is not the way that any student should be forced to learn. The father wanted to bring it to the attention of the public so that parents would be aware that this could be their child. My understanding that the school finally disciplened the other student. The punishment was 3 days in the principals office. I thought FAYETTE COUNTY was a ZERO TOLERANCE school system. It seems to me that they talk big and don't back it up.

I tried and tried to find out more information, but could not. I am surprised it was only a little segment about it on the news.

Something needs to be done to Kim Herron on how she handled the whole thing.

Thank you, lamsaa.

They choose who they punish. If the bully has rich parents they do nothing.

Bullies are a waste of my tax dollar and should not be in school!!!! They are also a waste of the clean air that we all need to breath. At the very least these worthless thugs need to be expelled. Their parents can figure out what to do with their birthcontrol failure mistakes. My tax dollar should not be wasted on it.

Let the parents send them to boot camp at their own expence. I wish we could send the thug worthless parents with their thug kids. Based on this summer most of these parents need a beating as badly as their mistakes do.

I am a teacher in Fayette County, and at the beginning of the year a parent told me that he wanted his child in my class, but his child had been bullied by three students the previous year and they were all placed in the same class again this year. The parent had to pull his child, leaving the bullies with me! I spoke to my administrators and they said that unless a formal complaint was filed again, the parent had to make the decision to move this student. Bullies seem to have more rights/freedoms than victims.

This is so sad. Those bullies are a waste of my tax dollar. I resent that they and their worthless parents are here.
