Armed Robbery in Fayetteville

An East Point restaurant owner was robbed at gunpoint last night as she entered her home in Fayetteville. Three young black males, at least 2 of them with handguns, stole her purse and keys as she returned home from work around midnight. No one was injured, and despite police being on the scene within 5 minutes of the incident, the suspects got away.

Because they did not steal anything else, it is suspected they may have had prior knowledge that she did not make a regular night deposit, and so carried large amounts of cash in the evenings. One theory is that they had previously followed her home from work, to plan their attack. Last night, it is believed that they may have parked nearby, robbed her, and ran off to their getaway car. The Fayette County Sheriff's K9 unit strengthened this theory when the scent trail ended abrubtly.

If you have any information about this crime, please contact the Fayetteville Police Department.

It would be helpful to know what general part of Fayetteville this was.

Unbelievable. Simply unbelievable.

The county seems to have an infestation problem. Time for Orkin.
