Nothing sacred about the law…

As I stated previously, the punishment meted out to the PTC manager was, in my opinion, much too severe, and the law under which he was punished was inappropriate as he was treated as if driving a car upon a public highway while he was only operating a golf cart in a parking lot leading to a cart path.

I picked up an expensive childrens toy off Ga hwy 85 just north of Harp rd.
It apparently fell off a truck , but was not damaged.

Looks like there was quite a turnout for the initial meeting of the MHS Marijuana club yesterday. There were about 13-15 tokers on five golf carts parked on the hill between the Kedron Aquatic Center and the Ardenlee tunnel yesterday after school around (go figure) 4:20 p.m. Quite a number of freshman appeared to have joined the club this year.

I recently hired PRESTIGE LANDSCAPING, based on their advertisement in this newspaper. They were to re-sod my backyard but ran out of sod and promised to return in a couple of days to complete the job.

Today, while on my golf cart, it happened twice.

I came from Griffin to Fairburn the end of June to pick up my niece and nephew. While driving down the road I commented on the onion smell.

It seems to me some of the comments are not from a loving, caring parent. Mothers are supposed to have an emotional base that says "he is just a kid" or "my child could never do that". We see this on TV most every night when one of the thugs gets shot.

While the summer is truly short, perhaps better planning on your part would have eliminated your need to be inside. The citizens of Fayette County have spoken. Enough of the frivolous lawsuits, enough of harassing cities and constitutional officers. It's time to work together for the best interests of Fayette County.

I have been very quiet over the past few weeks during this election cycle. There has been quite a bit of mudslinging and name calling in the past month or so, but now it is over.

As long as we're having to wait, I thought I'd catch us up on this.

In light of the alledged bullying victim arrested with weapons at WHS this week, I thought I'd start a blog about what your children have experienced in the way of bullying and/or harassment while attending Fayette county public schools.

I have a confession to make. I don't take advantage of the chance to early vote because I get a little excited about voting on election day. There, I said it. I'm a dork.

The Democratic Party has 2 members with high national recognition up for renomination for the right to represent their party in the November election. You couldn't find two people further apart morally and intellectually than Joe Lieberman and Cynthia McKinney, but there they are. This could happen for all the wrong reasons, but if Lieberman is out and McKinney is in, all self-respecting Democrats should be ashamed of their formerly great national party. Zell Miller predicted it in his book and if the Democrats voting today value McKinney over Lieberman – shame on them.

Well it is early Tuesday morning, about 1 a.m. to be precise, and the onion smell mysteriously returns every MONDAY night. It did not smell over the weekend, and now it is clearly present outside. I just let the dog in from his pre-bedtime activities and made the mistake of walking outside without my little mask on that I keep by the door. I find it strange that the smell of onions only makes itself present on weeknights and when no officials are around. Nights that used to be spent sitting on the porch, listening to the crickets, swatting mosquitoes no longer exist this close to the plant. Actually there are no crickets, moths, mosquitoes at all. Even a short trip to get the dog makes my nose run, then get stuffed up, and then to start...well I will spare you the details, but just know that it is gross. It is not like the regular stuff associated with a cold or sinus infection, it is much more disgusting. And by the way, I was under the assumption that they were not supposed to be processing anything new or anything that they had already received until they have reattained their permit. I wish you could photograph smells or push them through the phone sometimes just so those who think this company is trying to do right can know the truth. Anyway, back to the rant, I am sick of them being able to do what ever they want when ever they want. I do not believe that they have stopped processing anything, I do not believe that they are not receiving more shipments and I am really getting tired of hearing they have been shut down, only to walk outside and smell their residual discharge.

Tyrone was finally able to squeeze some cash out of the county commission for recreation. The $18,000 approved by the county commission some time ago was supposed to be a Tyrone vote-getter for Greg Dunn and Linda Wells.
