Shame on you Citizen Newspaper! If you had done your research you would have found out that Fayette County Sheriff's do not carry pepper spray. The officers options in this matter were to protect himself from a Large Dog or get attacked. I for one support his decision to act upon his insticts and protect himself. Fayette County has a leash law and from reading your story I see that the dog was neither leashed or contained by a fence. What would you like the officer to do? I am glad that we have officers that are here to protect and serve. I would not want to be in their position on a daily basis. Thank you for doing a fine job!
