Wake up Fayette County! Supply and Demand

If no one was buying drugs in Fayette County - drug dealers would not come here. The writer who wisely acknowledged that our students/adults are buying drugs is 'right on'. The taking of and/or experimenting with drugs has become 'fashionable'. If there was no 'demand' in Fayette County - there would be no reason to provide the 'supply'. Our law enforcement officials are daily arresting Fayette County residents for possession of illegal substances. Look in your surrounding beautiful 'woods' - learn to recognize marijuana plants. They are growing right under your noses! This is happening in Beverly Hills, California and po-dunk Michigan. There is no place to run. If Fayette County still had only one MacDonalds, etc. - and there were 10 to 15 residents who 'needed' drugs - there would be a drug dealer in town to meet their need. Every citizen in this country needs to enlist in the war on illegal drugs. The drug cartels are corrupting our politicians and youth. . . .but our fear is allowing them to win this war.

Legalize all drugs

The war on drugs has done nothing to stem the flow of illegal drugs. How many billions of dollars have been spent with no impact? If people want to use drugs and can do so without negatively affecting my rights than why not?
Big brother can't save everyone.

Sandra you hit the nail on the head. I do not think Fayette County is a distribution point. I think the drugs are being used by our citizens. Employers keep drug testing your employees, more random tests are a good thing. Parents START drug testing your teenagers even preteens! Know the signs of drug use, know where the labs are that can test your child, know how to purchase home use drug tests off the internet. If you do not know any of these things and care to know, ask and I will fill you in! Very important, let your child know the concequences of using drugs and I do not mean the concequences of the drugs, the concequences at home. Give your child a reason to say no to their "friends". Be a repsonsible parent..... I know you love your children, help them say no.
