LaRue Barge Doyal, 93, Fayetteville, died Dec. 27, 2006. She was born Aug. 19, 1913 in Fayette County, daughter of Joseph and Lucy Slaton Barge.

Beulah Virginia Callaway, 90, Peachtree City, died Dec. 26, 2006. She was born Dec. 26, 1916 in Anderson County, S. C. She was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Dan Hanes, and grandchildren, Todd Callaway, and Beverly Watson.

William F. Ogletree, 71, Fayetteville, died Dec. 25, 2006. He was born Jan. 18, 1935 in Spalding County, son of the late Phil and Evelyn Ogletree.

Dr. Michael T. Rainwater, DMD, 54, Peachtree City, died Dec. 23, 2006. He was born July 15, 1952 in Bibb County, Ga. He was a member of the American Dental Association serving as the 5th District Trustee, the Georgia Dental Association, and served as president and editor of the GDA Action Journal.

Thomas R. "Tommy" Vinson, 58, Fayetteville and College Park, died Dec. 22, 2006. He was born Feb. 18, 1948 in Fulton County, son of the late Tom and Charlotte Vinson.

Sara Reagan Walton, 85, Fayetteville, died Dec. 22, 2006. She was born Aug. 19, 1921 in Coweta County, and was reared in the Madras community.

Earl T. Gross Sr., 74, Fayetteville, died Dec. 10, 2006. He was born Dec. 20,1931 in Hartford County, Md. He was retired from the Federal Aviation Administration.

Donees Clark Mathis, 84, College Park, died Dec. 9, 2006. She was born Jan. 2, 1922 in Fulton County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman C.

Lawrence W. McAlpine Jr., 83, Peachtree City, died Dec. 5, 2006. He was born in Passaic, N. J. but lived most of his life in Savannah, Ga.

John Lamar Cochran Jr., 86, LCDR, United States Navy, retired, Peachtree City, died Dec. 8, 2006. He was born June 10, 1920 in Fulton County. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister. He was graduated from Georgia Tech in 1942. A commissioned officer in the Navy, he served in active duty from 1942 to 1945, fighting in the Battle of the Coral Sea and Guadalcanal, and surviving the sinking of the U.S.S. Helena. He served in the Naval Reserve until 1962 retiring as a lieutenant commander. Services were at the Carmichael-Hemperley chapel with the Rev. Stephen L. Soulen officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Survivors include his wife, Joann L. Cochran, Peachtree City; a daughter, Sherry and Barry Sloan, Fayetteville; granddaughters, Amanda Santaniello, Decatur, Cara Dwyer, Chandler, Ariz.; a nephew, John Williams Jr.; and a niece, Beth Watzlavick. Memorial donations may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association, 1925 Century Blvd., Ste. 10, Atlanta GA 30345. Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
