Hugh F. Estes, 74,Hampton, died Feb. 5, 2007. He was born Jan. 29, 1933 in Fulton County. He was a retired Lt. Colonel with the United States Army National Guard.

Janis Lee Paré, 75, Fayetteville, died Feb. 4, 2007. She was born Jan. 5, 1932 in Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Paré, parents, Burt and Alice Hockmuth, and a sister, Martha Mulchey.

Loraine Smitherman Stovall, 85, Fayetteville, died Feb. 3, 2007. She was born June 19, 1921 in Jefferson County, Ala. and spent her early years in Birmingham and Vance.

James Woodrow McSwain, Essen, Germany, died Feb. 1, 2007. He was born May 3, 1939 in Shelby, N. C. The body was cremated and memorial services will be at a later date in Peachtree City.

John Mervin Besszong, 78, Hogansville, died Feb. 2, 2007. He was born Jan. 15, 1929 in Montpelier, Vt., son of Phyllis Levy.

Patty Sue Culpepper Ezell, 38, Senoia, died Feb. 2, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Ezell Jr. She was graduated from Forest Park High School in 1986.

E. Virginia Besszong, 89, Hogansville, died Jan. 31, 2007. She was born May 2, 1917 in Miami, Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Susan Evans, brothers, Lewis Evans, and Homer Evans, Jr., sisters, Hattie Showalter, and Margie Desmond, and a son-in-law, Lyman P.

Edward Emory Jacobs, 87, Palmetto, died Jan. 23, 2007. He was born Nov. 26,1919 in Campbell County, now Fulton County. He grew up on his family's property which became the site of the first Atlanta airport, some of which his grandfather had purchased in the early 1900's.

Louise M. Scarbrough, 64, Fayetteville, died Feb. 3, 2007. She was born June 16, 1942 in Bartow County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Scarbrough.

Annie Plunkett Smith, 87, Grantville, formerly of Fayetteville, died Feb. 1, 2007. She was born April 13, 1919 in Fayette County, the daughter of James H.

William Bishop "Bing" Cummings, 68, Fayetteville, died Feb. 1, 2007. He was born Dec. 22, 1938 in Mobile, Ala., and was reared in Gainesville, Ga.

Francesetta M. Kreteck, 88, Peachtree City, died Jan. 31, 2007. She was born Aug. 19, 1918 in Ishpeming, Mich. Memorial services will be Feb.

Noel W. Fry, 81, died Jan. 30, 2007. He was born July 25, 1925. He was a veteran of World War II and had served in the U.

Betty Louise Seagraves, 95, Fayetteville, died Jan. 29, 2007. She was born March 19, 1911 in Spalding County. She taught elementary school at Starr's Mill when it was operating as a school.

George LeRoy Whitten, 80, Fayetteville, died Jan. 28, 2007. He was born Oct. 22, 1926 in Newton, Middlesex County, Mass. He enlisted in the United States Army on Jan.

Cindy Reynolds, 60, Henderson, Nev., formerly of Peachtree City, died Jan, 27,2007 after a short illness. She was preceded in death by a brother, Cecil Walters.

Mary Opal Boles, 94, Fayetteville, died Jan. 28, 2007.She was born Dec. 12, 1912 in Optima, Okla. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest A.

Marie Smith Ferrell, 91, Union City, died Jan. 28, 2007. She was preceded in death by a son, Fred Skinner, brothers, Julian Smith, and Sanford Smith, and a sister, Martha Alley.

Clyde Houston Rainwater, 92, Fayetteville, died Jan. 26, 2007. He was born April 10, 1915 in Fairburn, son of Felton and Verna Rainwater.

Lee Roy Bailey, 90, Brooks, died Jan. 26, 2007. He was born April 23, 1916 in Fayette County, son of Samuel and Mamie Whatley Bailey.

Henrietta Redwine Dennis, 87, Fayetteville, died Jan. 24, 2007. She was born July 30, 1919 in Fayette County, daughter of Charles Davenport and Clifford Burks Redwine.

Myrtle R. Hackney, 86, Atlanta, died Jan. 22, 2007. She was born May 18, 1920 in Pickens County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh H.
