John P. Minaberry Jr., 56, died March 28, 2007. He was born Sept. 27, 1950 in Delaware County, N. Y. He died after sustaining critical injuries in an automobile accident in Peachtree City. He was preceded in death by his father, John Peter Minaberry Sr. He had been a Captain in the United States Air Force, and flew for Delta Air Lines from 1982 to 2005, retiring as a Captain.

Mary Lou Flaherty, 80, Fayetteville, died March 29, 2007. She was born Sept. 29, 1926 in Pittsburg, Pa. She was preceded in death by her husband, John J.

William Mark "Papa" Hayes, 75, Fayetteville, died March 28, 2007. He was born April 17, 1931 in Fulton County. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Hayes, a son, Mark Hammond Hayes, and a brother, Bob Hayes.

Elaine Marie Collins, 69, Peachtree City, died March 26, 2007. This was the same day as her birthday, and she gave the gift of new life through the donation of her organs.

William "Bill" Vail 76, Fayetteville, died March 25, 2007. He was born March 24, 1931 in Forest, Clinton County, Indiana.

Courtney Hill, 87, Fayetteville, died March 25, 2007. He was born Feb. 14, 1920 in Indianapolis, Ind. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Hill, parents, Sherley and Mary Hill, his twin brother, Whitney Hill, and a brother, Keith Hill.

McKenzie Austin Phillips, 17, Fayetteville, died March 24, 2007. He was born Aug. 6,1989 in Clayton County. He enjoyed martial arts, art and cooking Asian foods.

Kenneth Edwin Hawthorne, 39, Fayetteville, died March 22, 2007. He was born Feb. 25, 1968 in Los Angeles, Calif. He was an avid golfer and loved music.

Annie Eliza McManus, 90, Union City, died March 22, 2007.She was born March 28, 1916 in Fulton County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Lee McManus, parents, Jesse and Allie Turner; and siblings, Junie Mac Jackson, Glen Turner.

Lt. James Louis Green, 76, East Point, died March 17, 2007. He was born Feb.7, 1920 in Payne County, Okla. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Helen Cordell Green. He was proud of being a first generation Oklahoma, beginning college at age 16 at Oklahoma A&M. He completed his degree at the age of 30 on the G. I. Bill after returned from World War II. He received the Bronze Star for valor. He was an educator, coach, and administrator for more than 30 years, most of which were spent in the Fulton County school system. In later years he became a published writer and poet. Services were at the Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, with interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery, College Park, with military honors. Survivors include daughters, Cynthia Green Vinson, Fleetwood, Cruso, N. C., and Sandra Mae Green, Destin, Fla.; grandchildren, Geoffrey W. Vinson, Christopher S. Mildred S. Langley, 88, Peachtree City, formerly of Ft. Worth, Texas, died March 9, 2007. She was born Nov. 12, 1918 in Huttig, Ark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Porter Langley, and her parents, Lawrence Sharpe and Florence Raybourn Sharpe. She was a self-employed florist. Eleanor Cooley Sandusky, 85, Peachtree City, died March 13, 2007. She was born March 21, 1921 in Fayette County, Pa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Captain Charles Chadwick Sandusky.
