Stanley Medford Wood, 70, Newnan, died March 13, 2007. He was born Dec. 20, 1936 in Bowie, Texas. He was member of Masonic Lodge #921 F&AM, Avery, Texas. He was an avid outdoorsman and member of various hunting groups. He was retired from the Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons and also was in the construction management business. Services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Vicki Smith officiating. Interment was at Avery Cemetery, Avery, Texas. Survivors include his wife, Sara Wood, Newnan; a son, Seth Wood Sr., Newnan; a daughter, Julie and Harry Parker, Newnan; sisters, Wyvonne O'Rear, Azle, Texas, and Gayla Henry, Mt. Pleasant, Texas; and grandchildren, Natalie Wread, Clint Wread, Lauren Wood, and Seth Wood Jr.

Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.
