Larry Kemp Brown, 52, Fayetteville, died July 2, 2007. He was born Jan. 23, 1955 in Spalding County. Gary H.Rupert

Gary H. Rupert, 62, Fayetteville, died July 6, 2007. He was born Jan. 1, 1945 in Artesia, Calif., son of Willard and Stella Rupert. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War. He had worked for Delta Air Lines for nine years and was a real estate appraiser for First American until he retired due to disability. He was an avid golfer with a tremendous love for the game.

Carolyn Harris

Carolyn Harris, 93, Fayetteville, formerly of Tuscaloosa, Ala., died July 12, 2007. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a long-time elementary school teacher in the Tuscaloosa school system. She was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church of Tuscaloosa, where she was the organist, pianist, and choir director for several years.

Lieselotte Henninger

Lieselotte Henninger, 90, Fayetteville, died July 12, 2007. She was born June 23, 1917 in Karlsruhe, Germany. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilhelm Henninger. Memorial services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with Deacon Carl McBride officiating. Survivors include nieces, Marliese, Marlene, Jeanette, and Lore: and cousins, Lotte and Emmie, Germany. Joe D. Henry, 67, Fayetteville, died July 14, 2007. He was born April 4, 1940 in LaFayette County, Miss. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Inez Henry, and a brother, James Henry. Gene Davis

Gene Davis, 73, Fayetteville, died July 15, 2007. He was born March 19, 1934 in Fayette County, son of the late H. V. and Lillian Davis.

Jim Fulton

James W. Fulton Jr. died July 16, 2007. He was born in 1918 in Jones, Ga. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the Army Air Corps in the South Pacific. He retired from Delta Air Lines as an aircraft mechanic in 1979. He was a charter member and devoted worker of the First Baptist Church of Peachtree City, and a charter member of the Peachtree City Kiwanis Club.

Maurice Herman Hyde

Maurice Herman Hyde, 76, Fayetteville, died July 2, 2007. He was born April 23, 1931 in Coweta County. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marsha Hyde Garner. He was employed from 1950 to 1971 by Canadian Pacific Railroad, and from 1971 to 1986 by Canadian Pacific Airlines, International. He enjoyed traveling abroad, playing bridge and was devoted to his family. Graveside services were at Forest Lawn Cemetery, College Park with the Rev. Glenn Stringham officiating. James David Nolin

James David Nolin, 85, Fayetteville, died July 2, 2007. He was born Oct. 11, 1921 in New Brockton, Ala. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Ward Nolin. He was a veteran of the United States Army in World War II. He was a member of the College Park Masonic Lodge, F&AM. Virginia Munroe

Virginia Munroe, 82,Douglsville, died July 3,2007. She was born Feb. 21, 1925 in Cleveland, Ga., where she lived until marrying and moving to Atlanta. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lamar Ellis Munroe. She was a waitress for many years at Mary Mac's Tea Room. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Tyson Griffin officiating. Interment was at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta. Lawrence F. Warren

Lawrence F. "Larry" Warren, 78, Fayetteville, died July 5, 2007. He was born Aug. 16, 1928 in Dexter, Ga., son of Lemuel F. and Nina W. Warren. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Virginia Dossey, Sara Harp, Helen Yarbrough, and Faye Daniel. He was retired from Ford Motor Company in 1983 with 30 years of service. At that time, he was the Traffic Manager of Ford's Kentucky Truck Plant, Louisville, Ky. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fayetteville, where he had been a deacon. He was active in the Fayette County Kiwanis Club and the Metro Fayette Kiwanis Club. He was a past Lt. Governor of Kiwanis District No. 23. He was a past president of the Atlanta Ford Salaried Retiree Club and played a vital role in helping keep that organization active. He was also well known for his to-scale doll houses, including making its furniture. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Glenn Stringham officiating. Interment was at Morrow City Cemetery.

Sarah M. Samples

Sarah M. Samples, 55, Fayetteville, died July 5, 2007. She was born May 2, 1952 in Heard County. She was preceded in death by her parents, and four brothers. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel. Survivors include her husband, Marvin W. Samples, Fayetteville; a son, Joel and Dana Samples, Fayetteville; a daughter, Sharon and Brent Davis, Griffin; grandchildren, Carley Pope, Griffin, and Grayson Samples, Fayetteville; a brother, Hudson and Charlotte Thomaston, Carrollton; and a sister, Sue Thomaston, Franklin. Lance Corporal Joshua David Isaac, USMC, 23, Peachtree City, died July 7, 2007. He was born June 11, 1984 in Kansas City, Mo. He died from injuries received June 30, 2003 during a water training accident with the United States Marine Corps.

Nicole Burschet

Nicole Burschet, 24, Fairburn, died June 28, 2007. She was born Sept. 20,1982 in Ansbach, Germany. She had a passion for all animals and loved her dogs. Frankie Jett

Frankie Jett, 77, Palmetto, died June 29, 2007. He was born July 1, 1929 in Cobb County. He was retired from Delta Air Lines with 40 years of service. Services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Daniel Dahl officiating. Interment will follow at a later date. Survivors include he wife of 55 years, Martha L. Margaret Ann Miller

Margaret Ann Miller, 58, Fayetteville, died June 24, 2007. She was preceded in death by her companion, Joyce Caskey, parents, Frank and Ruth Miller, a brother, Paul Miller, and a sister, Violet Jones. She was a veteran of the United States Army and was retired from the Federal Aviation Administration. Services were at the Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Nancy Benoit and Daniel Benoit

Nancy Elizabeth Benoit, 43, and Daniel Christopher Benoit, 7, Peachtree City, died June 25, 2007. Nancy was born May 17, 1964 in Boston, moving to Florida with her family. After graduating from Deland High School, she pursued a career in Professional Wrestling Entertainment. She enjoyed success and traveled all over the world. After marrying Christopher Benoit she retired to become a wife and mother.

Daniel was born Feb. 25, 2000 and was an active student who loved his dogs, his neighbors and riding their horses. He was smart, affectionate and kind-hearted.

Merrill Harris Jr.

Merrill Harris Jr., 78, Peachtree City, died June 27,2007. He was born in Coweta County, son of Merrill Morgan and of Addie Ruth Harris. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Roy Price,80, Fayetteville, died June 28, 2007. He was born May 9, 1927 in Marietta, Ga. He was born and reared there but has lived in Fayette County for the past 30 years. He was retired from General Motors, Doraville. A memorial service will be this Saturday, July 7th, at 2 p.m., at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Tom Burdett officiating. Dellano Eugene Bowles, 72, Fayetteville, died June 29, 2007. He was born Aug. 11, 1934 in Troup County. He was retired from the United States Army with 20 years and had served in Viet Nam. Dorothy K. Haldane

Dorothy K. Haldane, Peachtree City, died June 9, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband, David M. Haldane, and a daughter, Carolyn Evridge. Edward Phillip Bruch Jr.

Edward Phillip Bruch Jr., 85, Peachtree City, died June 11, 2007. He was born Nov. 29, 1921 in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. He was preceded in death by son, Kimberly Copper Bruch, in 2004. He was a graduate of Asheville School in North Carolina, and attended Kenyon College prior to entering World War II as a pilot in the Civil Air Patrol. He received the Presidential Medal from President Harry S Truman for meritorious achievement. He became an aerobatic pilot participating in many air shows. He had served as president of the Buckeye Retriever Club, and became a National Field Trial Judge. As a trained musician, he played in a Cleveland jazz band for many years and then moved to Fort Lauderdale in 1963. He began a charter sailboat company and owned and operated a marine store for 28 years. Private services were held in Cleveland, Ohio. Survivors include his wife, Devereaux; children, Lynn Bruch Baker, Atlanta, E. P. Bruch III, Boone, N.C., and Marguerite Bruch, Blacksburg, Va.; three stepchildren; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.

John L. Garner Sr.

John L. Garner Sr., 69, Fayetteville, died June 16, 2007. He was born Nov. 6, 1937 in Cullman, Ala. Helen G. Garr, 55, Fayetteville, died June 21,2007. She was born July 31, 1951 in West Chester, N.Y. Services were at the Carl J. George Hugh Stell

George Hugh Stell, 92, Fayetteville, died June 22, 2007. He was born May 10, 1915 in Fayette County, son of Hugh Malone and Christine McCollum Stell. It was his father who took photos around the square out of the courthouse clock tower in 1902. He was a salesman throughout his life, and a longtime member of Fayette Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed music and playing his saxophone. Services were at the Fayette Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Garrett Hoffman and the Rev. David Black officiating. Interment was at Fincher Methodist Cemetery, Meansville, Ga. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Pauline "Polly" Stell, Fayetteville; and sisters-in-law, Mary Grace Wilson, Griffin, Virginia Elliott, Newnan, and Frances Ann Stell, Hampton.
