John L. Garner Sr., 69, Fayetteville, died June 16, 2007. He was born Nov. 6, 1937 in Cullman, Ala. He was a member of the Fayetteville First Baptist Church and the Fayetteville Masonic Lodge #711 F&AM. Services were at the Overton Chapel of Fayetteville First Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert A. Boswell officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include his wife, Eleanor L. Garner, Fayetteville; a son, John and Brandy Garner, Duluth; grandsons, Bailey T. Garner and Austin M. Garner, both of Duluth; and a sister, Juanita Blanton, Fayetteville. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
