Lawrence F. Warren

Lawrence F. "Larry" Warren, 78, Fayetteville, died July 5, 2007. He was born Aug. 16, 1928 in Dexter, Ga., son of Lemuel F. and Nina W. Warren. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Virginia Dossey, Sara Harp, Helen Yarbrough, and Faye Daniel. He was retired from Ford Motor Company in 1983 with 30 years of service. At that time, he was the Traffic Manager of Ford's Kentucky Truck Plant, Louisville, Ky. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fayetteville, where he had been a deacon. He was active in the Fayette County Kiwanis Club and the Metro Fayette Kiwanis Club. He was a past Lt. Governor of Kiwanis District No. 23. He was a past president of the Atlanta Ford Salaried Retiree Club and played a vital role in helping keep that organization active. He was also well known for his to-scale doll houses, including making its furniture. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Glenn Stringham officiating. Interment was at Morrow City Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Janet N. Warren, Fayetteville; and a brother, John W. and Sara M. Warren, Fayetteville. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
