Gene Davis, 73, Fayetteville, died July 15, 2007. He was born March 19, 1934 in Fayette County, son of the late H. V. and Lillian Davis. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Maurene Davis, and a brother, Maxie Davis. Graveside services were at Holly Hill Memorial Park, Fairburn, with the Rev. Lynn McClain officiating. Survivors include a son, Mike Davis, Fayetteville; sisters, Joan Roper, and Frances Stinchcomb, both of Fayetteville, Charlotte Slaton, and Margaret Boyd, both of Tyrone; and grandchildren, Tyler, Tara, and Toni. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.
