Mary Ruth Brown, 88, Fayetteville, died June 16, 2007. She was born Jan. 26, 1919 in Henry County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawson Brown, and a daughter, Mary J. Brown. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with Jack McBrayer officiating. Interment was at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta. Survivors include a daughter, Gwen Holmes, Fayetteville; and a sister, Martha and Herb Wilkerson, Sharpsburg. Memorial donations may be made to the Human Society of the United States. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
