Joshua Matthew Clark, 19, Fayetteville, died April 17, 2007. He was born July 26,1987 in Wapello, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his mother, Diana Clark, and paternal grandparents, Harry and Mary Clark, Ottumwa, Iowa. He was a 2006 graduate of Fayette County High School and an Eagle Scout with Troop 71 in Fayetteville. Memorial services were at Heritage Christian Church, Fayetteville, with Pastor Steve Geyer officiating. Survivors include parents, Matthew and Denise Clark, Fayetteville; grandparents, Norman and Carmyn Glasgow, Eldon, Iowa, and Jerry and Eleanor Morris, Jonesboro; brothers, Jonathan Hubbard, Dearborn Heights, Mich., and Alan "Bubba" Hubbard Jr., Fayetteville; and sisters, Dawn Grygiel, Taylor, Mich., and Tiffany Hubbard, McComb, Miss. Mary H. Childs, 86, "the Bracelet Lady," Peachtree City, died April 17, 2007. She was born May 11, 1920 in Atlanta. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert W. Clay, and Felton Childs, and son, Gary Childs. Services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with Pastor John Orr officiating. Interment was at Greenwood Cemetery, Atlanta. Survivors include a son, Danny and Mary Ann Clay Sr., Fayetteville; a daughter, Barbara Pittman, Peachtree City; a sister, Frances Donegan, Austell; grandchildren, Sharon McMullen, Danny Clay Jr., David Clay, Nikki Clotfelter, Joely Pittman, and Dawn Childs; and seven great-grandchildren. Margaret McWilliams Hyde

Margaret McWilliams Hyde, 84, Peachtree City, died April 18, 2007. She was born March 21, 1923 in the Clover community, now Peachtree City. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dave and Al Berta Williams McWilliams, and was their oldest child. She had lived in the same community all her life. She was a lifelong member of Line Creek Baptist Church. Services were at Carl J. Mowell chapel with Minister Paul Carrier officiating. Interment was at the Line Creek Baptist Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Frank Hyde, Peachtree City; sons, Melvin and Sandra Brown, Peachtree City; and Don Brown, Senoia; a daughter, Ann and Frank Boyd, Atlanta; grandchildren, David and Liz Boyd, Charleston, S. C., Brad Boyd, La Crosse, Wisc., Deb Brown, Fayetteville; Keith Brown, Villa Rica, and Kelli Brown and Nikki Brown, both of Senoia; and four great-grandchildren. Carl J. Hugh Pierce

Hugh Pierce, 92, Fayetteville, died April 10, 2007. He was born Dec. 1, 1914 in Sycamore, Ga. He had served in the United States Army serving four years active duty and 17 in the reserves, retiring with the rank of major.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Melvin Boyd, father, Vernon Philyaw, mother, Jessie Turner Philyaw, brothers, Vernon Philyaw, and Jimmy Philyaw; a sister, Elizabeth Philyaw Simpson; and sons, Hubert Melvin Boyd, and William Barnette Boyd.

Wyman Craig Cochran

Wyman Craig Cochran, 42, Fayetteville, died April 7, 2007. He was born Feb. 12, 1965 in Fulton County. He always served as the family peacemaker. A private family service will be held at a later date. John Melvin Baker

John Melvin Baker, 81, Fayetteville, died March 23, 2007. He was born Dec.25, 1925 in the Ben Hill area of Atlanta. He was a graduate of Russell HighSchool and a varsity football player. He served in the United States Navyduring World War II. He was an avid golfer and after leaving Ft. McPhersonGolf Course, he built his own course, Pebble Creek in Jonesboro, long with several partners. He was a member of the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church, and Veteran of Foreign Wars and was a Master Mason for over 50 years. Services were at the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mark Westmoreland officiating.

Sergeant Major Dale D. Ward

Sergeant Major Dale D. Ward, 58, Newnan, died March 25, 2007. He was born Sept. 21, 1948 in Stone, Ark. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Williams, stepfather, Dan Williams, a brother, Harold Williams, and mother-in-law, Rose Kendall. He had served in the Vietnam War, and was an assistant to the Sergeant Major of the Army. After 23 years of service he retired as a Sergeant Major. Memorial services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with Minister Darrell Gosser officiating.
