Doris June Stuart Brown, 81, Fayetteville, died April 22, 2007. She was born June 22, 1925 in Shreveport, La. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Harris and Ida Van Norris Stuart, her husband of 49 years, Samuel L. Brown, eldest daughter, Sylvia Brown Franklin. She was employed by Fulton County schools and served many years as library clerk at College Park High School. She was a devoted church member, and taught Sunday School for many years. She held service positions at Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church, East Point, First Baptist Church of Jonesboro, and Harp's Crossing Baptist Church, Fayetteville. She enjoyed sewing and reading. Memorial services were at Harp's Crossing Baptist Church. Survivors include daughters, Alexa and John Andrews, Fayetteville, and Mary Ries, Greenville, S.C.; grandchildren, Mark Franklin, Allen Franklin, Stephanie Franklin, Williams, Sam Andrews, and Garrison Ries; six grandchildren; and son-in-law, Rick and Meredith Franklin, and her children. Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
