Dorothy Lucille Boyd, 82, Peachtree City, died April 10, 2007. She was born June 13, 1924 in Belton, S.C. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Melvin Boyd, father, Vernon Philyaw, mother, Jessie Turner Philyaw, brothers, Vernon Philyaw, and Jimmy Philyaw; a sister, Elizabeth Philyaw Simpson; and sons, Hubert Melvin Boyd, and William Barnette Boyd. Graveside services were at the Grey Hill Cemetery, Commerce, Ga. Survivors include daughters, Barbara Ainsworth, Rom, and Lucile and Jack Goins, Fayetteville; a nephew, Howard Simpson; grandchildren, Brian Knowles, Darlene Hardie, and Jennifer Stire; great-grandchildren, Trevor and Katelyn Stire, Christopher and Michael Hardie, William, Beth, Julie, Marie, Trevor, Katelyn, Christopher and Michael Boyd; and one great-great-grandchild. Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
