Marguerite Gilbert Cassell, 88, Pensacola, Fla., formerly of East Point, died April 8, 2007. She was born Jan. 31, 1919 in Atlanta. She was preceded in death by her parents, Owen Wright and Annie Margaret Cox Gilbert, a daughter, Crista Joy, her husband, James Walter Cassell, and great-grandson, Noah Andrew Daigle. She had attended Russell High School in East Point. She had lived in Brunswick, Ga. for 43 years before moving to Pensacola. She was noted for her talent as a seamstress and designer of formal and casual wear, as well as for her horticultural ability. Graveside services were at the College Park Cemetery. Survivors include a son, James Owen and Mary Goldsmith Cassell, Jacksonville, Fla.; five grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge. login to post comments |
