Waymon P. Etris, 70, Union City, died March 30, 2007. He was born June 7, 1936 in Cleveland, Ga. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Keith Etris, and son-in-law, Tim Derrick.

Services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Vicki Smith officiating. Interment was at Holly Hill Memorial Park Fairburn. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Etris, Union City; daughters, Cheryl and Johnny Tench, Gainesville, and Sheilah and Curt Ridley, Dahlonega; stepdaughters, Georgann Derrick, Taylor, S. C., and Kimberly Etris, Fairburn; a sister, Brenda Etris, Union City; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and nephew, Shane and Olga Etris. Memorial donations may be made to the Fairburn United Methodist Church, 5 Washington St., Fairburn, GA 30213, or the American Lung Association, 2452 Spring Road, Smyrna, GA 30080-3862.
