Connie B. "Red" Darley, 76, Fayetteville, died April 9, 2007. He was born July 18, 1931 in Treutlen County, Soperton, Ga. He had served in the United States Army. He was retired from Ford Motor Company with 30 years of service. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with Pastor Wally Woodcock officiating. Interment was at New Hope Cemetery, Fayetteville. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Clarine Porter Darley, Fayetteville; daughters, Susan and Jerry Slaughter, Fayetteville, Gloria and John Jackson Sandoval, Douglasville, and Alice Diane and Nelson Vinson, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Brian and Jason Slaughter, Gary Mack and Vonnie Queen, Cindi and Brian Hall; great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Joseph, and Brandon Queen, and Jordan, Michael and Caroline Hall; a brother, J. C. and Ruby Darley, Soperton, Ga.; and a sister, Winnie and Alton Darley Norris, Rockmart. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge. login to post comments |
