John P. Durrett Jr., 69, Palmetto, died Jan. 15, 2007. He was born May 3,1937 in Fulton County. Services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Ralph Bobo officiating. Interment was at Holly Hill Memorial Park, Fairburn. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Joyce Durrett, Palmetto; sons, Randall Durrett, Palmetto, Philip and Patty Durrett, Hiram, and John David and Becky Durrett, Fairburn; a sister, Jo Ann Chambers, Fairburn; and grandchildren, Jacqueline Durrett, Melissa Durrett, and John Philip Durrett. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.
