Edward H. "Ed" Dodson, 76, Fairburn, died Jan. 22, 2007. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary McClure. He was an United States Army Reserve veteran. He was the owner of Dodson Farm and Lawn Equipment since 1960. He was retired from Fulton County Board of Education after 28 years of service and spent 17 years on the Board of Directors at United Community Bank, formerly Fairburn Banking Company. Services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Wendell Banks, and the Rev. Dr. George Dillard officiating. Interment was at Holly Hill Memorial Park, Fairburn. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Hazel Dodson, Fairburn; a son, Phil Dodson, Fairburn; a daughter, Janet and David Dias, Tyrone; and grandchildren, Chris Heinisch, Emily Dias, and Brendon Dodson.
