Annie Plunkett Smith, 87, Grantville, formerly of Fayetteville, died Feb. 1, 2007. She was born April 13, 1919 in Fayette County, the daughter of James H. and Leola A. Plunkett. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, and the Atlanta Braves. Services were at the Ebenezer United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles Govenstein officiating. Interment was at the church cemetery. Survivors include sons, Ernest Smith, Decatur, Gary and Melissa A. Smith, and Bruce Smith, all of Grantville; grandsons, Gary L. Smith, and Michael E. Smith; and a great-granddaughter, Alexis Breanne Smith. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
