Thomas R. "Tommy" Vinson, 58, Fayetteville and College Park, died Dec. 22, 2006. He was born Feb. 18, 1948 in Fulton County, son of the late Tom and Charlotte Vinson. He had retired from Delta Air Lines in 2001 where he had been a machinist for almost 30 years. He enjoyed restoring 1956 and 1957 Chevy's and gas pumps. He was a caring and good person. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with Minister Billy Rowe officiating. Interment was at College Park Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Vinson, Fayetteville; a son, Rusty Vinson, Fayetteville; a daughter, Jennifer and Tom Hill, Fayetteville; and grandsons, T. J. Hill and Josh Hill, Fayetteville. Memorial donations may be made to the Fayette County Humane Society. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
