Ruby Joyce Johns Peavey, 76, Fayetteville, died Dec. 18, 2006. She was born June 18, 1930 in Fulton County. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Peavy, and sons, Gary Peavy and Rodney Peavy. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Dennis Watson officiating. Interment was at Crest Lawn Memorial Park, Atlanta. Survivors include children, Brenda and Kenny Harp, Fayetteville, Linda Whiting, Acworth, Glenda and Michael Spring, Smyrna, and Susan and Jim Thompson, Fayetteville; grandchildren, Melissa and Jeremy Higgins, Johnny Spring, Gloria and Andy Singleton, Natalie Spring, Adam Thompson, Christopher Whiting, and Christine and Danny Davis; great-grandchildren, Jason Higgins, Jackson Higgins, Alexandria Singleton, Christopher Singleton, and Blake Whiting; a brother, Louie Johns Jr.; and sisters, Hazel Johns, Virginia Peavy, Margaret Scott, Lillie Caldwell, and Polly Clackum. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
