George Duncan, 67, Sharpsburg, died Dec. 11, 2006. He was born May 3, 1939 in St. Paul, Minn., son of Herbert Ross and Harriette Robertson Duncan. He was reared in Grosse Pointe, Mich. He was graduated with a B.A. from Ferris State University in 1961. He moved to Georgia in1970 and was a salesman his entire career. He and his wife owned Omega Bookstore in Peachtree City. Though a Detroit Tigers and Lions fan, he was also a Braves and Falcons fan and was a season ticker holder for many years. He enjoyed golf, gardening, and fishing. Services were at the Jones Funeral Home chapel Survivors include his wife of over 40 years, Karen Ann Duncan; sons, Jeffrey and Elaine Ward Duncan, Conyers, and Matt Duncan and fiancée, Theresa Melocco, Newnan; a daughter, Heather Duncan and John Alger, London, England; and grandchildren, Grace, Russell George, Joshua, Michael, and Brandy. Jones Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.
