Max S. Wood Sr., 76, Fayetteville, died Dec. 18, 2006. He was born June 28, 1930 in Polk County, Ga. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Delta Airlines with 40 years of service. He was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Bill Priester and the Rev. Jerry Cross officiating. Interment was at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. Survivors include his wife, Connie Wood, Fayetteville; children, Max Jr., Greg, Phil, and Beverly; grandchildren; brothers, Roger, and Donald; and sisters, Shirley, Charlotte, and Sandra. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
