Elizabeth Cherry Davis, 93, Peachtree City and Newnan, died Oct. 18, 2006. She was born Oct. 15, 1913 in Estill Springs, Tenn. She spent a large part of her life with her husband, Jack, in Birmingham, Ala. She was a prolific reader, a exceptional bridge player, a crossword aficionado, and could discuss a wide variety of subjects. She had held a number of successful business positions in Birmingham. Louise Campbell, 85, Fayetteville, died Oct. 18, 2006. She was born Dec. 21, 1920 in Fulton County. She was preceded in death by her husband,, William Campbell. She was reared in East Point, and was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was retired from Southern Railway with more than 25 years of service. E. H. "Ray" Hovey, 68, Newnan, died Oct. 16, 2006. He was born March 31, 1938 in Eufaula, Ala. He was a member of Fayetteville Christian Church, where he served for 20 years as deacon, elder, and trustee, as well as teaching the Lamplighters Sunday School Class. Mary Frances Robertson Spear, 95, Peachtree City, died Oct. 10, 2006. She was born Feb. 14, 1911 in Silver Springs, Md. She had been a Federal agent with the OSS during and after World War II, serving in Rome, Italy, and Algiers. She was a member of the Peachtree City First Presbyterian Church. Joseph Eugene Fitzpatrick

Joseph Eugene Fitzpatrick, 82, Fayetteville, died Oct. 8, 2006. He was born on April 20, 1924 in Asbury Park, N. J., son of the late Joseph and Susan Fitzpatrick. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Katherine. He was the youngest of three older siblings, Donald and Ruth. He was a flier in the Air Force, and played basketball while in service. He had a career in the vending business with Seeburg Corporation. He moved his family to Atlanta in the late 1960's. He opened the Beer Mug on Peachtree Street and later, Kelly's Bar and Grill. Services were at the Sweetwater Memorial Chapel, Atlanta. Survivors include his wife, Mary, and their daughter, Marcy and Frank Perry; and daughters, Sharon Deaton, Colleen Hatch Maureen and John Adams, and Kelly and Bryan Chrey; grandchildren, Eric and Audra Deaton, Shannon Deaton, Huston Hatch, Emily Hatch, Nicole Adams, John Adams, Joseph Adams, Hannah Arrigoni Chrey, Tucker Chrey, Caleb Perry, and Lewis Page. Carolyn Anne Cieslak, 49, Peachtree City, died Oct. 7, 2006. She was born June 4, 1957 in Jacksonville, Onslow County, N. C. A celebration of life was held at the home of Dr. Timothy Kaigler, Peachtree City. Friends and family were asked to follow her wishes, don't wear black, bring plenty of laughter, and remember that every day is a Saturday. Betty C. Porter, 82, Peachtree City, died on Oct. 6, 2006. She was born Oct. 3,1924 in Meriwether County. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Clifford and Nettie Self Callaway, and her husband, Stephen Leonard Porter. She was a member of the Pioneer Club and the local garden club. Services were at the First Baptist Church of Peachtree City with interment at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta. Survivors include a son, Robert Dale and Maria Porter, Peachtree City; a daughter, Deborah Lynn and Jim Brewer, Powder Springs; and five grandchildren. Eunice Mae Nolan, 98, Cherokee County, formerly of Fayette County, died Oct. 2, 2006. She was born June 3, 1908 in Healy, Kan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel A. Nolan.
