Betty C. Porter, 82, Peachtree City, died on Oct. 6, 2006. She was born Oct. 3,1924 in Meriwether County. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Clifford and Nettie Self Callaway, and her husband, Stephen Leonard Porter. She was a member of the Pioneer Club and the local garden club. Services were at the First Baptist Church of Peachtree City with interment at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta. Survivors include a son, Robert Dale and Maria Porter, Peachtree City; a daughter, Deborah Lynn and Jim Brewer, Powder Springs; and five grandchildren. Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
