James F. Williams, 77, Fayetteville, died Oct. 10, 2006. He was born March 29, 1929 in Fayette County, son of Brownie and Addie Mae Pope Williams. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Thornton Williams. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Glenn Stringham officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include a son, Bobby and Gayle Williams, Nashville, Tenn.; a daughter, Nancy Williams, Milner; grandchildren, Bobby Williams Jr., Sabrina Wagner, Shelley Scott, Michael Hilley, and Kim Donta; and great-grandchildren, Jacob Williams, Zack Williams, Rhett Scott, Adam Scott, and Josh Donta. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
