Joseph Eugene Fitzpatrick

Joseph Eugene Fitzpatrick, 82, Fayetteville, died Oct. 8, 2006. He was born on April 20, 1924 in Asbury Park, N. J., son of the late Joseph and Susan Fitzpatrick. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Katherine. He was the youngest of three older siblings, Donald and Ruth. He was a flier in the Air Force, and played basketball while in service. He had a career in the vending business with Seeburg Corporation. He moved his family to Atlanta in the late 1960's. He opened the Beer Mug on Peachtree Street and later, Kelly's Bar and Grill. Services were at the Sweetwater Memorial Chapel, Atlanta. Survivors include his wife, Mary, and their daughter, Marcy and Frank Perry; and daughters, Sharon Deaton, Colleen Hatch Maureen and John Adams, and Kelly and Bryan Chrey; grandchildren, Eric and Audra Deaton, Shannon Deaton, Huston Hatch, Emily Hatch, Nicole Adams, John Adams, Joseph Adams, Hannah Arrigoni Chrey, Tucker Chrey, Caleb Perry, and Lewis Page. Eric and Audra are expecting his first great-grandchild in April. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
