Dr. Michael T. Rainwater, DMD, 54, Peachtree City, died Dec. 23, 2006. He was born July 15, 1952 in Bibb County, Ga. He was a member of the American Dental Association serving as the 5th District Trustee, the Georgia Dental Association, and served as president and editor of the GDA Action Journal. He received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Medical Center of Georgia, the Georgia Dental Association President's Commendation, and was the northern district Dental Society Dentist of the Year. Services were at the First Baptist Church of Peachtree City with the Rev. Dr. Dale Welden and the Rev. Dr. Steve Bingham officiating. Interment was at Big Canoe Chapel Cemetery, Big Canoe, Ga. Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Susan B. Rainwater, Peachtree City; children, Cason Rainwater, and Kathryn Rainwater, both of Peachtree City; parents, Neal and Louise Rainwater, Gainesville, Ga.; and a brother, David Neal Rainwater, Cordele. Memorial donations may be made to the Medical College of Georgia, School of Dentistry Building Fund, in care of Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, GA 30912. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
