Dewey Lester "Bill" Copen, 78, Fayetteville, died Dec. 21, 2006. He was born April 23, 1928 in Charleston, Kanawha County, W. Va. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia A. Worth. He was a veteran of World War II and was retired from Delta Air Lines with 35 years of service. He was an avid golfer. Services were at the Fayetteville First Baptist Church, Overton Chapel with interment at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include his wife, Sara "Anne" Copen, Fayetteville; a son, Terry and Katherine Copen, Keller, Texas; a daughter, Karen and David Childers, Fayetteville; five grandchildren; and sister, Sarah Yost, Carrollton. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
