Virginia Banks, 84, Fayetteville, died Dec. 18, 2006. She was born Sept. 15, 1922 in Coweta County. She was preceded in death by her husband, George M.Banks. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with Pastor Rick Whitlock officiating. Interment was at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. Survivors include a son, Roy Douglas and Betty Banks, Fayetteville; daughters, Alice and James Callaway, and Mary Ann and Marvin Williams, all of Fayetteville; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; a brother, Bryan and Ruth Whitlock, Jonesboro; and a sister, Clois and Ron Bass, Fayetteville. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
