Sara Reagan Walton

Sara Reagan Walton, 85, Fayetteville, died Dec. 22, 2006. She was born Aug. 19, 1921 in Coweta County, and was reared in the Madras community. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Edna Reagan, two brothers, and two sisters. She had lived in the Fayetteville area for over 30 years. She and her husband were avid gardeners and shared their fresh vegetables and flowers. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Tyrone, was active in her Sunday School class and the Rebekah Circle. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with Minister Billy Rowe and Minister Wye Huxford officiating. Interment was at Oak Hill Cemetery, Newnan. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, J. T. Walton, Fayetteville; sons, Mike and Claudia Walton, Dunwoody, and John and Karen Walton, Blue Ridge, Ga.; grandchildren, Allen Walton, Bill Walton, David Walton, and her namesake, Sara Reagan Walton. Memorial donations may be made to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta for a specific MRI project to benefit pediatric brain tumor patients. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
