Get Real: Greg Dunn - Save Yourself !

Get Real's picture

Everyone thinks that Greg is Dunn. I think he has a chance to salvage his re-election. Nobody will argue the fact that overall Greg has done a very respectable job regarding zoning issues. That is a HUGE issue in Fayette County. OK. Maybe the developers might argue that. We give Greg credit for controlled growth and protecting the zoning ordinances.

Dalmation195: SHERIFF WINS!!!!!!!!!!

Just so everybody knows, Judge Ison has ruled in the favor of the Sheriff! He said that the Sheriff has the authority to spen his money any way he sees fit. He must notify the county before disposing of any property, but the county can not in any form or fashion dictate to the Sheriff's Department how to spend money. The Judge also chastised both telling them to sit down and work this out and stop wasting taxpayer money.

CarpeDieminPTC: Can we limit the number of posts please?

CarpeDieminPTC's picture

I few of you posters need to get a room. Or better yet a Myspace website so you can endlessly talk about the most silliest of things. I just wish a third of your comments were of substance. Instead, they are nothing more the ramblings that my middle schooler does on her instant messenger.

PTC Guy: PTC - The Future

PTC Guy's picture

Where is PTC heading? Some have projected it will become largely a retirement town.

Not saying that is a bad thing.

iluvthebubble: dunn v sheriff update?

Any inside poop on what happened at the hearing today? Did the fur fly? Did they reveal that secret audit? Don't know if I can wait for John Munford's story on Wednesday (John, please tell us you'll have the story!).

Get Real: Jack Smith - County Commissioner ??

Jack Smith is running against Linda Wells. I won't vote for Chapman but I am curious about Jack Smith. He did qualify.

PTC Guy: SS & Medicare

PTC Guy's picture

Just on the news.

Social Security will go under in 2040. Medicare goes under in 2018, 12 years from now.

So, we can keep paying for illegals, keep pumping money into countries that will not change the sexual habits and are dying from aids, keep pumping money into Islamic countries that hate us and so on.

puertorico1: Families from Puerto Rico out there?

I was just asking myself if there are many puertoricans living in Peachtree City or Fayette County in general.

PTC Guy: Fixing Mexico

PTC Guy's picture

Illegal Mexicans are so willing to protest and proclaim their rights in the US?

Why are they not at home fixing Mexico?

tedkara: Home Depot Frustrations!

Cusomter service...what's that??? Thanks to the nasty chick in the "Windows and Doors" department, I will NEVER shop the Home Depot here in PTC again.

Annette Long: Firehouse Wings & More

I agree that their wings are fabulous, but I also love their sandwiches made with freshly bake bread!

cardinal: The Sheriff , by law, is ACCOUNTABLE to the Commissioners

Yes, it is true. The Sheriff, by law, is held accountable for his actions. Please remove your emotions from this case. It's okay to acknowledge the fact that he does a good job but realize that he, just like you and me, are accountable to someone. It's a tough pill to swallow...I know...but that's life.

cardinal: Chapman & Maxwell = OVER POPULATION / HIGH DENSITY

Mr. Chapman will support housing developers because he will profit from...mortgages.

Mr. Maxwell will support housing developers because he will profit from...fees.

cardinal: Chapman and Maxwell are a TEAM

Yes, it has been overheard that Mr. Chapman and Mr. Maxwell are joining forces to win the two available posts.

A lawyer and a banker...is development on their "secret" agenda? Only Mr.

questionable101: Stealing out of vehicles

Today I ate lunch at Macaroni Grill and when I came out, my car had been entered and all the bills I had paid with a check were stolen from my vehicle and the other compartments in my vehicle were rifled through for other things to take.

ms: Let's Just Pass Laws, it's easier than being a Parent

Victim? That's quite a stretch there Fancy. Perhaps you see yourself as a victim, but I'm not, nor will my children ever be a victim to stupid government regulations. In my home, we hold parents, and kids, accountable. Parenting....what a theory! I don't expect the government to have to pass a law to keep my kids in class and I shouldn't expect them to have to pass one to get your kids to attend either. I'll take responsibility for my own kids actions. Responsibility...another great theory!! Perhaps we can get the state to pass a law that requires uniforms for each school. Then they can pass a law that requires government indoctrination training. Oh wait, they already tried that in the USSR and we know how that turned out.

peachyinGA: Summer Camps

I am desperatly looking for a reasonable priced summer day camp for my kids to go to. I haven't lived here long and the day cares are too high.

fancypants's picture

Has anybody else noticed the BS trucks all over the city? Yesterday during lunch I counted a total of 6 trucks during a 8 minute drive.

Is there a church in the area that combines a high view of biblical authority with a more traditional--even liturgical--approach to worship?

Why are there purple ribbons tied to the street signs in the subdivision at the end of PT Parkway.

Basmati: The ugly Starrs Mill-McIntosh lacrosse rematch

On Friday night, April 21st, Starrs Mill faced McIntosh in a lacrosse rematch. McIntosh thoroughly destroyed Starrs Mill 14-2, but newpaper accounts probably won't tell you just how ugly a game it was.

PTC Guy: Cell Phone Deaths

PTC Guy's picture

For the first time in a long time road deaths increased.

Why? People dialing and otherwise being be preoccupied by their cell phones, not the road.

susan ringel: HIGHGREEN109

Maybe you are more poetic however I think you understand my point. I respect and admire those who remain faithful to their beliefs, their paths and do so without violence. If you find yourself in need of trying to deny another persons truth then maybe your are really just trying to justify your own. Belief comes from the heart, and the ability to have faith is a hard path but those who I have met and known who fall into that category are enriched, kind and curious individuals. There is no right or wrong on the journey. Ghandi was no less spiritual as an individual than Father Epps but he spread a word or faith, belief and peace. He never spoke a word telling another that what they believe was wrong. I am also as you say "dumb" but I do know what I feel, key words being I feel and hope "you feel" what is in your heart and follow that path. I only wish that for all and to do so in peace without the need to diminish others.
