Let's Just Pass Laws, it's easier than being a Parent

Victim? That's quite a stretch there Fancy. Perhaps you see yourself as a victim, but I'm not, nor will my children ever be a victim to stupid government regulations. In my home, we hold parents, and kids, accountable. Parenting....what a theory! I don't expect the government to have to pass a law to keep my kids in class and I shouldn't expect them to have to pass one to get your kids to attend either. I'll take responsibility for my own kids actions. Responsibility...another great theory!! Perhaps we can get the state to pass a law that requires uniforms for each school. Then they can pass a law that requires government indoctrination training. Oh wait, they already tried that in the USSR and we know how that turned out.

I wonder if the state with the highest graduation rate (Iowa) has "laws" that take the place of parenting or personal responsibility. Hmmm.... Oh, and I stand corrected. Georgia has a 54% graduation rate.

Just so that we are clear on my position, I am not as opposed to the law so much as I am opposed to the bloggers here that view it as a substitute for personal responsibility and good old fashioned parenting!

ms. Your drowning out the choir your singing with. We are with you on the parental responsiblity note. However, some of us choose not to allow the slackers the same privilages of those that apply themselves earn. Let em skip drink, breed and dope up. That's their choice and their parents. Doesn't mean we have to allow them on the roads and for us to suffer the consequences. We're already going to have to subsidize these deadbeats down the road with government programs.
