Pipes in front of Sara Harp Minter Elementary??

Does anyone know what those pipes are for in front of Minter Elementary..There are a bunch and they just stick up in that big expanse of yard in front of the school.

They are either marker posts or ventilation posts for the sewage /septic system for the elementary school and I think Whitewater High. Wish they could be lowered or something they are an eyesore for sure. They put in a huge drainfield in that area.

I thought that might be it..It is nice to have this forum to ask about little things that nag. Can't they put some landscape out there? The expanse of septic field is so attractive..
