I am having a hard time understanding the loud complaints about "how" Saddam was killed for his crimes.
It seems that those people who wanted him killed now don't like the "way" he was killed.

Whatever my commanders on the ground ask of me they will get in Iraq. Bush stated this many, many times when asked about insufficient troops over the last three years. Those type of commanders should have been replaced long ago. He is finally doing it, I think, by simply replacing all those who disagree. Now again, whatever the commanders on the ground want they will get, as long as they are the commanders on the ground!

Watching those wonderful democrats today take over the majority in the congress, for the first time in twelve years, gives hope that the people now have control of the government, not evil-doers and warmongers.

My highschooler told me about something his teacher did that has me a little shocked and outraged. I'm doing a reality check and looking for feedback especially from teachers or those familiar with normal high school practices.

Mayor Harold Logsdon was elected by a majority of the electorate, so we should give him the respect the office demands. We have lost all civility in today’s society.

The whole TDK extension thing is spiraling out of control. Mayor Logsdon is not making a bit of sense by not wanting to expand the road to four-lanes like all the professional traffic engineers have suggested.

It appears that many on here do not understand why development occurs as it does in most cases, not all.
It occurs mostly to replace some other development which may close down or reduce. When the Fayette Pavillion was built it was to replace Southlake Mall and Greenbriar as they were really not convenient for anything south of themselves. That has occured for the most part: Southlake is a hip hop shoppong place and so is Greenbriar--no one from here ever goes to those places anymore. It WAS a big destination 20-25 years ago however, I went there many, many times. Naturally the residents of those two areas like to shop sometimes in newer and different facilities with large chains, so they come to Fayette. Build and shut down, build and shut down: it is here to stay.

I was clearly shaken by the fact that the station just disappeared without notice. I have listed to PEACH since 1981. Every Sunday morning, I turned on The Sounds of Faith as soon as I woke up. It was one of the highlights of my week. Isn't there something we can do to reinstate this wonderful worship series? Or is there any chance to get copies of the worship hours?

Bringing common issues together goes a long way to crystalizing issues and realities.

This is looking to be a huge mistake for PTC citizens, I honestly think it will change our way of life for the worse. I didn't move here and pay much higher taxes to live in a southside version of Roswell.

So the avalanche continues to fall on our heads. The questionable developments of the Logsdon era vs. our quality of life debate continue. More big box stores on Hwy. 54 west? A new big box on Hwy. 74 south? TDK, the road to gridlock, is moving right along too.

Red Herring -- To divert attention from the real issue, a person may sometimes introduce a false, often emotional, yet irrelevant, issue to lure discussion away from the real point. For instance on the topic of addressing PTC providing a taxpayer funded road and bridge to developers in Coweta County, myword_mark avoids the topic of the TDK highway by discussing Billy Payne, section 8 housing, growth cycles, success of restaurants, big boxes, etc. Well done! Mark gets an A in red herring debate.

Anyone see the story on the news last night about the 2 children (4 months and 14 months) that have recieved broken arms in Magnolia Park Day Care in Fayetteville over the past 2 months?

In the "adding insult to injury" category...I just picked up my mail and read my new edition of the PTC Update. The mayor is apparently not content to transfer millions of dollars of home equity from the citizens of PTC to Coweta developers (and a few related Fayette development businesses). As has been well publicized, the mayor and 2 council members are currently in the process of robbing PTC citizens of home equity, quality of life, while adding (annually) millions of additional man-hours to PTC citizens to sit in traffic.

Does anyone know anything about a police chase this morning (Dec.27) around 7:30 am?
My son was on his way to work, going west down 54 towards PTC.

For Christmas, my kids gave me a gorgeous portrait of themselves dressed in identical black polo shirts at sunset with Lake Kedron in the background.

I would like to wish everyone in the Citizen Staff, and those that continuously entertain me with comments, difference of opinions - both right and wrong, all the blessings that Christmas brings. My wish list for Christmas is fairly short: health, peace, love of family and friends, and last, but definitely not the least, the recall of Harold Logsdon - who has managed to burst the bubble of PTC in a very short time. I just googled this aticle published 53 months ago. Notice how Mayor Steve Brown was reportedly very concerned about TDK and what would happen on the Coweta side, while a very rude Vernon Hunter ridiculed the PTC Mayor's concerns about what would happen in Coweta County (note he said it was not PTC's concern - - what arrogance). Now we learn that tens of thousands of cars will be coming from the new City of Mcintosh and routed into PTC! Hunter owes Brown a MAJOR public apology. I have never voted for Steve Brown, but the more I learn of him the more I like him. Are we in PTC really going to allow this road to go forward? Are the citizens of this city truly that supine?
