Police Chase

Does anyone know anything about a police chase this morning (Dec.27) around 7:30 am?
My son was on his way to work, going west down 54 towards PTC.
Fayette County Sheriff cars were all along the side of the road with spike strips.
All at once my son saw a car speeding towards Fayetteville on the wrong side of 54!
This speeding car turned onto Gingercake Road, with Fayette County patrol cars in pursuit.
Thankfully my son who was sitting in traffic with other cars at the red light, were not hit by this maniac.
Anyone out there have any info about this?
