Questionable development continues/Logsdon legacy

So the avalanche continues to fall on our heads. The questionable developments of the Logsdon era vs. our quality of life debate continue. More big box stores on Hwy. 54 west? A new big box on Hwy. 74 south? TDK, the road to gridlock, is moving right along too.

Peachtree City now has the reputation of the community that will do anything for a fast buck. Oh yeah, the Direct PAC developer crowd says Mayor Logsdon is doing nothing illegal, and he has a free hand to do as he pleases with these destructive proposals.

What about the good of the community? What about our quality of life?

Mayor Logsdon and his city council’s legacy will be remembered as the time we reached the tipping point and fell to the other side of fence. His questionable, massive developments bring all their woes. Serious crime rises to new levels and never goes down. Employee morale falls and unions follow. Traffic begins to squeeze the life out of our families and our activities.

The smooth Mayor Logsdon has shown us his jagged edges. Lies and deceit are the rule of the day. Promises are made in passing and dismissed on a whim. Secret meetings are announced on a moments notice.

We are like the snow ball rolling down the hill heading to hell. I'm not sure if there's any turning back at this point.

Mudcat just likes to be a shock jock and make people angry. There are some good reasons for expanding commerce and increasing the number of homeowners in our area.

Mudcat never adds value to the discussion. Peachtree City is a great place to live. It's too bad Mudcat and the others didn't do more to convince the locals of the benefits of increased development.

We are suffering from a severe lack of leadership now. These stupid last minute meetings and thoughless comments from the city council only make things worse. Is it any wonder people are doubting the council's actions?

I have transacted some deals in Douglas and North Fulton Counties where the elected officials are intelligent and professional. The developments usually move along without a hitch because the locals have faith in their governments.

Or maybe it is Rothley. Either way - give it up. The sky is not falling.

Logsdon beat Brown.
Logsdon is not a tool to big business - whatever that is.
Logsdon is our Mayor.
Let Logsdon lead - just like we did Steve Brown.
No one ever questioned Steve Brown when he was Mayor.
So, leave Logsdon alone, OK?

"No one ever questioned Steve Brown when he was Mayor."

Good point.

Have you given any thought as to why so many are questioning Logsdon's decisions?

Could it be he's made one or two mistakes at the taxpayers expense and is contemplating doing it again and again for the remainder of his term?

P.S. I do enjoy you trying to convince everybody that Direct PAC is dead.

And the winner by a knockout is bad_ptc.

Hey, mudcat, hard to justify your statementw IF and WHEN a lot of the issues are brought together into a package.

Anyone who cannot see the developers were waiting for Logsdon to win to commence the flood is just blind.

HERE brings the issues together into a package that does not disappear within a day or two. Nor the comments attached.

Got the courage to read it all and then post your own topic addressing all the issues and how the developers didn't come out of the woodwork when Logsdon was elected, blue prints in hand?

Yea, right, Logson comes across as a real protector of the people and thinking man.

Keeping it real, and to the core of the issue, not the peripherals.
