Adolph Ernst Gebel, 85, Peachtree City, died Aug. 7, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rae Gebel and a son, Terry Gebel.

Stephen Edwards Bradley, Peachtree City, formerly of Uniondale, N.Y., died July 30, 2008. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Army in the Pacific Theater.

Thomas Alvin Farr, 74, Newnan, died Aug. 8, 2008. He was born July 27, 1934 in Fayette County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Claud and Mary Lou Elder Farr, and a sister, Sandra Edmondson.

Mary Ann Porterfield Stuckey, 60, Fayetteville, died Aug. 9, 2008. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with interment at Holly Hill Memorial Park, Fairburn.

Ronald Stephen Parker, 62, Forest Park, died Aug. 7, 2008. He was born Nov. 17, 1945 in Fulton County. He was self-employed in drywall.

Margarita "Mamacita" "Mama" Rivera, 79, Union City, died Aug. 4, 2008. She loved to give of herself just because that was who she was.

Donald B. Ray, 72, Union City, died Aug. 4, 2008. He was born March 24, 1936 in Fulton County. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne Ray, and a grandson, Patrick Kent.

Dr. Angelo R. Gonzalez, 84, Fayetteville, died July 27, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ricardo and Ercilia Gonzalez, and two brothers.

John Brittson "Britt" Hall, 37, Newnan, died July 30, 2008. He was born March 18, 1971 in Newnan. He was a 1989 graduate of Newnan High School where he was a member of the baseball team. He was a longtime sheet metal mechanic with Delta Airlines.

Norris O'Neal Gann, 62, Newnan, died Aug. 3, 2008. He was born June 28, 1946 and was a native of the Sargent Community. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Sidney and Julia Adel Stapler Gann Burnham, and a brother, Byron Gann. He was associated with Owens Corning as a quality assurance manager for 37 years. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

Donald B. Ray, 72, Union City, died Aug. 4, 2008. He was born March 24, 1936 in Fulton County. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne Ray, and a grandson, Patrick Kent. He was retired from the Atlanta Journal and Constitution newspaper after 38 years of service.

Jewell Smith Gillespie, 90, Fayetteville, died Aug. 2, 2008. She was born Feb. 2, 1918 in Coweta County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Llewellwyn and Lora Bomar Smith, and her husband, John Merlin Gillespie.

Timothy Watson, 51, McDonough, died July 31, 2008. He was a lance corporal in the United States Marines. Services were at the Carl J.

Forrest Grady Strickland, 82, Sharpsburg, formerly of East Point, died July 31, 2008. He was born June 9, 1926 to the late Forrest A.

Mildred Jean Turner Childers, 90, Fayetteville, died July 30, 2008. She was born April 28, 1918 I Fork Shoals, S.C. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Ross and Myrtie Tecora Jenkins Turner, and her husband, John Thomas Childers Jr., to whom she had been married for 69 years and who preceded her in death by only 59 days.

Mary Winn Walton, 86, Peachtree City, died July 28, 2008. She was born July 26, 1922 in Towns, Ga. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ruby McGahee Winn, and her husband, Dean Harold Walton.

The Rev. Robert M. Lloyd, 81, Rome, pastor of Tyrone Baptist Church in the 1970s, died July 27, 2008. He was born in Floyd County Feb.

Lurline Mitchell Scott, 98, Griffin, died July 23, 2008. She was born Sept. 24, 1909 in Greene County, Ark. She was preceded in death by per parents, Murray Lee and Odelle Yopp Mitchell, her husband, James Dudley Scott, a son, James Scott, a brother, Murray Lee Mitchell Jr., and sister, Flossie Mitchell.

Robert Edward Carter Sr., 77, Newnan, died July 21, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mae Bell Kidston Carter. Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. James Cook and the Rev. Jeff Smith officiating. Interment was at Forest lawn Memorial Park, Newnan. Survivors include his children, Kenneth J. and Teresa Carter, Robert E. and Judy Carter Jr., and Jane and Marcus Schrichte; his former wife and mother of the children, Irene A. Carter, Atlanta; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Judy McMichael Mapp, 91, Newnan, died July 22, 2008. She was born April 30, 1917 in Newnan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Luther and Eudora Hendrix McMichael, and her husband, Alvin Ace Mapp, in 1984. Prior to her retirement she had been employed by several local companies as a secretary and records keeper. She was a long-time member of Central Baptist Church.

Tommie Ann Bell Jones, 50, Luthersville, died July 26, 2008. She was born Aug. 23, 1957. She was preceded in death by her father, James Walker Bell, and a brother, Brad Bell, in April, 2007. Until her illness, she was employed by Charter Communications as a dispatcher.

Mary Horton Burnham, 86, Sargent, died July 26, 2008. She was born June 24, 1922, daughter of the late Robert Jehile and Lorena Dale Horton. She was also preceded in death by all of her siblings, her husband, Joe Nelson Burnham, in 2000, and a son-in-law, David Clark. She had worked in the textile mills for most of her life, and was a long-time and devoted member of Sargent Baptist Church. Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Dr. Bob Atkins and the Rev. Stacy Stafford officiating. Interment was at Oak Hill Cemetery, Newnan.

Suellen Rinesmith Adams, 57, Hampton, died July 27, 2008. She was preceded in death by her father, William E. Rinesmith. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with Pastor Tony Mirabella officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville.

Roy Hilton Burgess, 77, Moreland, died July 28, 2008. He was born Nov. 24, 1930 in Troup County to the late Jimmie L. and Minnie Hughey Burgess. He retired from the United States Postal Service and was a member of the Moreland First Baptist Church. Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Searcy Jackson and the Rev. Daniel Ausbun officiating. Interment was at Southview Cemetery, Moreland.

Mary Constance Crockett "Cappie" Cochran, Gainesville, formerly of Peachtree City, died July 24, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Stanley and Susan Kiernan Crockett, and her husband, John M.

Mary Elizabeth Langley Adams, 87, Peachtree City, formerly of Atlanta, died July 25, 2008. She was a charter member of the Wieuca Road Baptist Church and a member of the First Baptist Church of Peachtree City.

Juanita "Sharmane" Phillips, 46, Peachtree City, died July 20, 2008. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jeffery Lane Terry.
